Recently we called on drum corps fans to "spread the word" about drum corps to the uninitiated invited longtime fans to become marching music evangelists. Don and Stephanie Click sent in this shot. "Pictured are myself, my husband (Don Click -- Bridgemen 1985, Suncoast Sound 1987, Blue Devils 1989), my son, Avery (age 2), and my daughter, Piper (age 9 months). This was Piper's first drum corps show ever (Murfreesboro 2005).

"At the age of 9 days old, Avery attended his first corps rehearsal at this same stadium when the Cavaliers were passing through town. At 2 weeks old, he attended the Louisville show and at 10 weeks old made it to Orlando for World Championships. You can only imagine how excited he was to begin sharing the joy and his knowledge of the corps with his baby sister! (Thanks to all at MTSU for allowing Piper to watch the show from atop the pressbox.)"

Don and Stephanie Click
Avery Click (future Phantom Regiment quad player -- ageout 2025)
Piper Click (future Phantom Regiment guard member -- ageout 2026) Thanks Don and Stephanie! We're asking each of you to reach out and spread the word about the drum corps activity. Knock on doors, e-mail, instant message, even yell if you have to -- but this is the summer for you to bring a friend to a DCI show. Bring a digital camera to the show and take a picture with your new drum corps convert at the show, and send it to dave@dci.org -- we'll post pics as they come in under the headline, "New convert." Great seats are still available at most DCI shows. Pick up the phone, make your pitch, and we'll see you on the 50.
