Paul Rennick has been hired as the Phantom Regiment percussion arranger for the 2003 season. "We're very excited to have Paul on board. Knowing the level of excellence demonstrated by his past percussion sections, I'm very excited about the coming year," said Dan Farrell, program coordinator for the Phantom Regiment.Currently, Rennick is a full-time member of the percussion faculty at University of North Texas in Denton. He received his master's degree from that school and has been working there since 1991. The UNT Indoor Drumline has won 12 Percussive Arts Society national championships and is one of the most successful percussion ensembles in the country.Rennick, who received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, also is a percussion arranger and instructor for the Broadway musical "Blast!" and has served as arranger/caption head for the Blue Devils, Carolina Crown, Sky Ryders and Velvet Knights.He is active as a national artist and clinician for Pearl and Zildjian.
