Keith Dean (dcikeith96@hotmail.com) submitted this one. Kevin Nielsen (311 shirt) marched Phantom Regiment contra bass in 1998 and 1999, and euphonium in 2000; Keith Dean (middle) marched Phantom Regiment euphonium in 1996 and 1998; and Jason Warner marched Phantom Regiment contra bass in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1999. "This is a picture taken at the 1999 Phantom Regiment home show in Rockford, Ill., after the show. It was the first time that the three of us had a chance to be in the same spot for a picture -- you see, Kevin and I were seat partners in 1998, and then Jason and Kevin were seat partners in 1999. The reason I wanted to submit this picture is because I just returned from London, where I spent a couple weeks with Kevin. He is now a history teacher there. It's funny how the years pass by and we don't spend enough time with our fellow drum corps friends, so I decided to fly over and see how Kevin was doing and, of course, sneak in a vacation. It's also funny how the three of us got along so well. "These two guys could not have been better friends to me over the years. Jason is now an orchestra teacher in Bourbonnais, Ill. Jason and I both went to the same high school in Chillicothe, Ill. Since then there has been at least one low brass member from our high school marching with the Phantom Regiment. "The Phantom Regiment was much more than just an experience for me -- it was a way of life, and to this day, it will always be my family. Myself? I'm a manager for Sprint PCS in Peoria, Ill. I think the picture perfectly displays our youth, and every time I look at it, it takes me back to so many unforgettable memories." Thanks Keith! We're running low on Forzato pics! E-mail your submissions -- and we will get to them all, in time -- to dave@dci.org along with where and when the photo was taken. Send some biographical information about yourself as well. We'll give you full credit. Also, let us know if you want your e-mail address included, to get feedback from other drum corps fans.
