Pioneer's recent open house concluded a successful April camp weekend. Pioneer and the senior Kilties from Racine, Wis., finished last Sunday's camp with an uplifting mass horn line performance of "America/O'Canada." The two corps played together after each corps debuted its 2004 production to the public. Some spectators came as far as Indiana to check out the open house performance.

Pioneer spent most of the weekend learning drill and auditioning new color guard members. The horn and drum line were excited to finally see the whole corps come together when the guard was added to the drill. All of the members were pleased with their progress both musically and visually as they anxiously await the Memorial Day weekend. "April's Camp was great and the members energy and enthusiasm is the highest it has been in a while," said Pioneer director John-Michael Hines.
