Marketing & PromotionsProject ManagerReports to:Executive Director, CEOSummary of Functions:The marketing & promotions project manager is responsible for producing and editing publications, direct mail pieces and other related print materials. Coordinates updating the website along with fielding all incoming e-mail. Serves as on-site media relations person at major events and participates in local promotions efforts.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
    Layout and production of publications including:Annual program book 128 pages four color32 page promotional magazine 3 times per yearovernight 4 page publication at events
    Coordinate with graphic designer and printing contractorLight graphic design of direct mail and promotional piecesWriting updates for the websiteWebsite editing and coordinationIncoming e-mail distribution and responsesOn-site media relations at eventsScript writing for PA announcersPublic relations representative at various trade showsParticipates in some advertising purchasingPress release composition
Qualifications:Qualifiers include: Bachelors degree in business and/or marketing, some experience preferred, knowledge of and experience with youth markets a plus, working knowledge of computer programs needed, including: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXpress, and Microsoft Office.Additional considerations for the right candidate include: high energy, ability to be creative, excellent people skills, excellent written communication skills, self-problem solver, willingness to travel, and sensitivity to deadlines.Person must be located in, or relocate to, the Chicago area.
