This past summer I spent my second year as a member of the Blues Stars snare line. This is a photo of a resident canine companion that lived near our spring training facilities in Indiana. This dog was always around, chasing anything that moved and mooching for every scrap of food it could. As big of a nuisance as it could be, I found myself remembering this sweet little dog many times throughout the remainder of the summer. Although the dogs’ real name was “Chase,” the members of the 2008 Blue Stars all seemed to come up with numerous others!
