Jackie Krasuski, a 2006 member of Blue Stars' color guard, sent this picture.

You may remember me from a 2004 DCI.org article titled "Cash Cow," where I explained how I raised money to pay my corps dues for Memphis Sound by raising and selling show steers at auction. Now that I am off the farm and in college the creative fund-raising saga continues.

To pay off my dues for the 2006 Blue Stars, I decided on something that I love to do—making quilts. I started by quilting in star patterns with fabrics that are blue and have stars on them for members and alumni of the Blue Stars. I recently finished the quilt in the background which I made for my boyfriend, a Euphonium player in the 2006 Phantom Regiment.

The quilt on the bottom left is my own original Star of David design and the quilt in my lap is a ten-point circular lone star (the same quilt as I am sitting on in the insert picture). I also have designs which include patterns for the Colts and Glassmen drum corps and my very own Marching Mizzou.

Thanks, Jackie!
