From a Raiders Press Release: The Raiders of Wayne, N.J., the 2005 Drum Corps International Division III World Champions, are proud to announce a new, major fundraising program that enables the organization to bring the corps and its members a consistent stream of funding and support. Effective Jan. 1, 2006, the Raiders, in conjunction with one of the corps primary sponsors, the Wayne, N.J., Police Athletic League, are proud to announce that the Corps with host, sponsor and run midnight Bingo games every Saturday night at the Wayne Police Athletic League. The PAL is located at 1 PAL Drive in Wayne, N.J. Midnight Bingo had become extremely popular in the area and the Raiders are already experiencing large crowds on Saturday nights. "This Bingo concession gives our organization something we have not had in sometime, a consistent source of added revenue," added Tom Maiello, director of the Raiders. "We are extremely fortunate to have such a great sponsor in the Wayne PAL. This gives us the chance to raise the needed funds to help our members and staff with all the items needed to run a top notch drum and bugle corps. We have taken a good look around at other corps and how successful they are due to the fact that they have a successful bingo program." Maiello also added, "The Raiders would like to thank Ted Hanenberg, executive director of the Wayne PAL, along with the entire board of trustees. Their continued support is appreciated by every member of our organization."
