On December 20, members of the 2005 Capital Regiment snare drum line were reunited for a special performance at the wedding reception of Richard Kearns (current Capital Regiment Snare technician and a former corps member) and Stacie Harding.
Guests were treated to an entertaining medley that was comprised of the corps' 2005 "Street Beat" and "On-Field" with an array of solos to fill out the mix. Performers included (from the left): Cody Stafford, Will Stephenson, Niles Abel, Richard Kearns, James Kirby (2005 snare tech), Jeff Beck and Randall Webber.
And to add to the percussion-themed event, the groom's cake was a fully edible 14" snare drum. Created by the groom's mother and grandmother, the cake had gum-paste candy hardware and a chocolate centerpiece which was appropriately labeled with the newlyweds last name "Kearns" down the side of the drum.
