Report from a ""great"" Crossmen camp

by Drum Corps International

From the YEA! Web site: So far the Crossmen have raised the bar, and had great attendance at all rehearsals for 2005! This camp was no different. When we added up the music we have for Memorial Brass, the parade music, the patriotic music, and the show music we now have approximately 30 minutes of music in the members hands. Much of it is memorized, and actually sounds quite good, with dynamics, style and accents starting to show up with consistency and confidence. We also had a bit of Broadway in our midst, as Dan Weiner from STOMP came in to work with the corps. He showed us a lot about the performance qualities of using rhythm to create groove and a relaxed feel to the corps.
