From a Revolution press release: Sonia L. Ramirez has been named the public relations manager for Revolution's 2006 season. Ramirez, from San Antonio, Texas, is a 2003 Sandra Day O'Connor high school graduate and is the former head drum major for the Panther band. She is currently a senior at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas and is expected to graduate in May. She will be receiving her bachelor of arts degree in speech communication with a minor in public relations. Besides academics, her curricular activities include being special events director for the Public Relations Student Society of America, student coordinator for the university, and president of the National Communication Association for Sam Houston. Most importantly, she is a proud flute player for the Bearkat Marching Band. Her prior internship experience includes public relations at Valero Energy Corporation, marketing at Frost Bank and wedding planning for Oasis at Medina Lake. "I love communicating through words and language, but communicating through music has always been my first love. I am very excited to have this opportunity to make Revolution a part of my life," Ramirez said.
