At the end of March, percussion instructors from some of Drum Corps International's top corps were invited to the Boston area as guests of cymbal manufacturer Zildjian. There, these drum corps gurus had the opportunity to tour Zildjian's world headquarters, learn more about the company, talk to experts about the kinds of sounds and effects they'd like to work into their 2011 percussion parts, and more. Dan Potter, host of DCI's Field Pass podcast, was invited to tag along on the trip. He had a unique opportunity to sit down for a candid roundtable discussion with those in attendance about the upcoming summer season and about the future of drum corps activity.
