Blue Knights
Thirteen drum corps performed in the Alamodome this afternoon during the first half of the DCI Southwestern Championship. The Blue Knights (83.225) placed first in the competition followed by the Blue Stars (81.975), Glassmen (81.625) and Crossmen (79.350). These four corps will advance to the evening portion of today's event where they will compete against the top eight corps that were determined by the results of last weekend's shows in Orlando and Denver. Also performing this afternoon were the Madison Scouts (78.925), Colts (78.800), Spirit (77.600), Troopers (76.425), Pacific Crest (75.150), The Academy (74.725), Mandarins (74.650) and Pioneer (69.125). Hometown corps Revolution (73.300) was this afternoon's sole representative of the Open Class. Tonight's performance order including the four advancing corps: 1.
