he Santa Clara Vanguard recently released a new video on their Web site as part of the celebration of the organization’s 40th anniversary. The video highlights the history of the corps since its inception in 1967, and journeys through many memorable moments. Staff members, volunteers, and corps members past and present share their thoughts on the tradition of the corps and what makes it so special.

The corps also will host a week-long series of anniversary celebrations leading up to the 2007 DCI World Championships at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif. Scheduled events include a banquet, performances by Blue Devil and Santa Clara Vanguard alumni corps, a golf outing and the special DCI West Championship competition.
