Scene in Huntsville and Murfreesboro

An intense weekend of competition kicked off Friday, July 26 as the Tour of Champions (TOC) event series headed to Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro for the annual Masters of the Summer Music Games presented by Jupiter, Mapex and Majestic. At every TOC event this summer, spectators have the exciting opportunity to immerse themselves in the drum corps experience with exclusive opportunities to interact with corps members, pre-show and intermission entertainment, and an en masse finale on top of the corps' traditional competitive productions. More than 10,000 were in the stands as at Floyd Stadium Friday evening. The following day, Saturday, July 27, Drum Corps International headed to the Tennessee River Valley, for the first-ever DCI Tour event hosted on the beautiful campus of Alabama A&M University in Huntsville. Taking place on the eve of one of the biggest of this summer's events in Atlanta, 14 World Class corps and Music City performed to an enthusiastic audience at Louis Crews Stadium during this DCI North Alabama event.
