The Seattle Cascades continued to turn on the energy this evening, scoring 83.1 in Indianapolis. Their 2002 program "Prelude, Fugue and Riffs" is continuing to turn heads, especially for a corps that is spending its first year as a Division I corps. Baritone player Eddie Bernstein, 19, of Redwood City, Calif., loves marching in the Pacific Northwest. In his three years with the corps, he's seen the corps evolove from its Division III beginnings through the Division II triumphs and now as a Madison contender."I never saw it coming," said Bernstein of his time with the Seattle corps.Cascades director Sal Leone is excited about the way the year has transpired thus far. "We are proud to bring a winning Division I corps back to the Pacific Northwest," Leone said this afternoon, noting that 95 percent of the corps' members are from that area.
