This photo is of the Mandarins’ 2008 percussion taken near Allentown, Pa., on the day of the DCI Eastern Classic. As a tradition, each section in the percussion line would wear the same color shorts during practice on show days. The bass drum line was the green team (I’m the short one), the tenor line was the blue team, the snare line was the red team, and the bottom row was the pit as the orange team.
