The Summer Music Games makes its way to the sunny Southwest with one June and one July event scheduled in Arizona.

7:30 p.m. Just hours from popular destinations including Lake Havasu and the Grand Canyon, Mesa's Red Mountain High School will serve as a striking venue for some of the best Pacific corps in Drum Corps International. The Southwestern Corps Connection is hosted by one of Arizona's only drum corps, the Academy, who will be joined by Blue Devils, Blue Knights, Jester Corps and Santa Clara Vanguard. Saturday, July 29 The cream of the crop from the DCI Pacific Division II & III corps take center stage at Glendale Community College. Come cheer on the Academy, Vanguard Cadets. Fever, Impulse, Oregon Crusaders, Pacific Crest (Division I), Yamato and Jester Corps as they launch their journey to Madison, Wis. and the 2006 DCI World Championships which will be just two weeks away.
