In tonight’s World Championship Quarterfinals event, Southwind lost to Mandarins by a narrow margin. After coming into Quarterfinals in 17th place, as a result of the placement drop, Southwind will not make it into Friday night’s Semifinals competition, thus ending the corps’ season. Guard members Breanne Gervais and Callie Martin share a bitter-sweet moment after learning that they had just performed their last drum corps show as members of Southwind tonight.
