From a Strutters press release: In efforts to strengthen the brass and percussion programs in local schools through-out the province, The Strutters have come on board to provide clinics and support to the band programs in their home region of Alberta, Canada. By providing volunteers, an award presentation and a brass clinic to the winning class, the Strutters will be able to reach out to the band community and possibly provide another outlet of musicianship and performance opportunities for the youth interested in touring the DCI circuit this summer. Strutters director Dennie Hirsch said, "This is a great opportunity for both organizations to help one another promote music in a great event and atmosphere. It's also one of the few competitions in the area. With the lack of or non existence of marching programs in the schools this is a rare opportunity we have to partner up with all the directors, teachers and students who love music as much as we do."
