Each year the design team of the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps has desired to explore something different from the previous. Last year the corps brought audiences "Danzon," a Mexican & Latin American production. This summer Academy members will be bringing yet another completely different style of production to the field with their show titled "The Chase."
Inspired by the cinematic era of the 1940s crime film, "The Chase" is a wild ride through a classic and contemporary urban soundscape. The program includes original music by Sam Pilafian and Patrick Sheridan in addition to Joseph Turrin's "Hymn for Diana."
