The Cavaliers came away victorious in the DCI Central Illinois contest with a score of 82.250. The Madison Scouts received the silver medal (80.575) and the Bluecoats the bronze (75.325). "It definitely was an intense performance for us," said Cavaliers assistant drum major Chris Lugo. "Now we're just working on fine tuning the show. We have some changes going in this next week and now it's all about production, having fun and learning how to perform better." "We've been working specifically on a number of aspects of the show and those came through quite well tonight," said Jeff Fiedler, Cavaliers corps director. "I think the work we did on those affected some other areas of the production in a positive way. We're pretty pleased with the result of our performance and that's what we're going to continue to do."
