Dawn Christianson submitted this picture of her daughter, Deandra (who marched with the Blue Stars for the first time in 2002), pictured wearing the "classic" Blue Stars uniform. Dawn wore a very similar uniform when she marched with the corps in 1972. "Here's a great picture of our daughter for all of you nostalgia drum corps fans out there! Talk about major goosebumps and many tears of joy and pride when I (and the rest of drum corps fans around the country) saw her in that classic uniform from 1972. "Deandra's younger brother Danny, who is 12, is in our Cadet corps, and he's loving the snare drum and hopefully coming up the ranks in a few years.

"The Blue Stars carry out that strong tradition still today -- the white pith helmet, red plume and buckle are still worn with respect and pride 39 years later." Thanks Dawn!
