Competition is set to be fierce this weekend as DrumLine Battle™ returns to headline the 20th annual Virginia International Tattoo in downtown Norfolk.

From military ensembles to highland dancers and pipe and drum bands, this annual event will  feature more than 900 performers from eight countries. It all takes place at Scope Arena in downtown Norfolk, Virginia, Thursday, April 21 through Sunday, April 24.

“The Tattoo is a very inspiring show, with its patriotic themes, participation by the U.S. military branches and international military groups,” said J. Scott Jackson, Virginia International Tattoo Director/Producer.

A special guest of this year’s event and making its DrumLine Battle debut will be Switzerland’s Top Secret Drum Corps, a world-renowned drum line that is known for its high-intensity performances that have generated millions of views on YouTube.

“DrumLine Battle has truly set roots down around the world, and there has never been a better opportunity for our fans in the U.S. to see what a global phenomenon it has become than what will be on display this weekend,” said John DeNovi, DCI Director of Global Business Development.

All DrumLine Battle events in conjunction with the Virginia International Tattoo will be free and open to the public. Follow DrumLine Battle on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates.
