I was a member of the Blue Stars in 2006 and 2008, and aged out this past summer as a member of the Cavaliers. In this picture with me is my friend Dan Federspill. Dan and I both marched in the Blue Stars for two years prior to our time in the Cavaliers–Dan in 2007-'08. Before every show, we would give each other a hug, the corps handshake and say, "FCO-SPLOOIE," symbolizing our roots in the Blue Stars and our current affiliation with the Cavaliers. Although we have only marched together for two years, Dan has become a great friend and a life-long brother to me!
