From the Carolina Crown Web site: Carolina Crown is please to announce Evan VanDoren as the newly appointed second drum major for 2006. Evan will be joining ageout veteran Bob Beasley with the student leadership responsibilities both on and off the field and assuming the lead conducting role come next year. Evan comes from a drum corps family and has been around drum corps all of his life; his mother (Crossmen 1979), 2 uncles (Anaheim Kingsmen 1972-1973 and Hawthorne Muchachos1973-1975 respectively) and his father is DCI Hall of Fame member Donnie VanDoren.
