From a Madison Drum and Bugle Corps Association press release: The Madison Drum and Bugle Corps Association's Board of Directors has accepted Bob Wall's resignation as executive director, effective October 24, 2003.

In the past year, Wall led the MDBCA through a remarkable transition. The Madison Scouts returned to a position among drum corps' elite by placing eighth at the Drum Corps International World Championships in Orlando. Capital Sound also finished eighth in their division. This was the first year that Capital Sound advanced to the finals of Division II. Southwind had a solid rebuilding year after a change in leadership and staff.

Wall's accomplishments reach beyond the competitive field. He made many friends and positive contacts within the activity and in the Madison community. Wall's gregarious personality and charm established, and reestablished, relationships and friendships that should last a lifetime.

The Board of Directors has not yet established a plan for replacing Wall. It is possible that an interim executive director may be named at a later date.

We wish Wall the best in his future endeavors, wherever those endeavors may lead.
