What to Watch: Warrensburg

• After winning the premiere Tour of Champions series event last night in DeKalb, Illinois, the Blue Devils remain the only undefeated corps thus far this season, taking the title from the Bluecoats by just six tenths of a point. Does anyone have what it takes to unseat the Devils? The race for a medalist position continues to be neck-to-neck with Carolina Crown right on the Bluecoats’ coattails, finishing a mere five hundredths of a point behind on Sunday.

• Last night was one for the books for Santa Clara Vanguard when the corps finished ahead of the Cadets for the first time in more than a decade, slipping past the Allentown corps by just over three tenths of a point. The last year that happened was 2004, which also marks the last time Vanguard finished within the top-three at the DCI Finals.

• As if the finish line weren’t crowded enough, keep an eye on the Cavaliers. The Green Machine has been within striking distance of both the Cadets and Vanguard at various points this summer. As one of the final corps scheduled to perform on Monday in Warrensburg, members of the Cavaliers should be in a prime position to put up a big score and finally push themselves over 80 points for the first time this summer.
