Although Drum Corps International had to use the backup site because of the construction delays with Lucas Oil Stadium for the 2008 World Championships, the environment of the host campus at Indiana University was excellent. I had the pleasure of being at all three days of the World Class competition, and I got the whole experience by watching a lot of corps in the lot AND on the field.

As I approached Phantom Regiment, the bass line was framed in some of the plants and trees found all around the "lot" area where many of the lines chose to play, so I took a quick picture to capture the scene.

By the way, on the other side of the tree line in the background is the University's outside swimming Olympic size pool – another tie to where Champions are born.
