“Bringing the life-enriching benefits and enjoyment of marching music performing arts to more people worldwide” is the fundamental mission of Drum Corps International.
The DCI Legacy Fund enables Drum Corps International to assist a greater number of outstanding young people by helping to attract donations specifically for tour fee scholarships across our entire community. We are working to grow this fund every year to maximize the number of awards we are able to present, in an effort to help lower the barriers to entry for aspiring and performers wishing to take their place on the greatest stage in marching music.
Since 2007, the Friends of Drum Corps International (DCI) program has awarded annual scholarships to deserving corps members by removing the financial barriers of tour fees, and by supporting academic success. The Friends of DCI Scholarship makes sure young performers have the same opportunities as anyone else, and that they are able to pursue careers in music and education.
Please make a gift to support the Friends of DCI Scholarship and keep the spirit of drum corps alive for generations to come.
Founding the Troopers of Casper, Wyoming in 1957, the late Jim Jones, along with other visionaries, helped establish the foundation for what Drum Corps International is today.
In recognition of his immense contributions, Jones was inducted as a charter member of the DCI Hall of Fame in 1985. To honor his legacy, DCI established the Jim Jones Leadership Award, given annually to one outstanding Open Class and one World Class drum major. This prestigious award, funded by donations from individuals and Hall of Fame members, celebrates exceptional leadership and performance.
Your generous support helps continue Jim Jones’ legacy, inspiring future drum majors to lead with dedication and excellence.
