A previously unforeseen scheduling conflict with the Rose Bowl in Pasadena will shift the date of the Southern California fan-favorite event, along with several other shows in the early-season lineup of Pacific-region shows on the 2023 Drum Corps International Tour.

“The newly-announced unavailability of the Rose Bowl stadium on our originally-scheduled date has unfortunately created a bit of a domino effect,” said Eric Hjellming, senior event operations manager for Drum Corps International. “We’ve worked to adjust the schedules of the performing ensembles to maximize the event lineups for fans, while also taking into account venue availability and the intensive travel logistics of our corps. Thankfully we've been able to maintain all of the stadiums we had been planning to utilize, albeit with some events now being held on different dates.”

The revised event schedule is as follows:

Saturday, July 1Vista, CA (originally June 30)
Sunday, July 2San Bernardino, CA
Monday, July 3Tempe, AZ
Friday, July 7Fresno, CA
Saturday, July 8Pasadena, CA (originally July 1)
Sunday, July 9Stanford, CA (originally July 8)
Monday, July 10Sacramento, CA (originally July 9)
Tuesday, July 11Bakersfield, CA (originally July 10)
Friday, July 14Riverside, CA
Saturday, July 15Vista, CA
Sunday, July 16Bellflower, CA

Presently, the Stanford, California show is the only affected event with tickets on sale. Current ticket holders will be contacted via email with instructions for using their tickets for the new Sunday, July 9 date or how to receive a refund.

The change in scheduling also has shifted some of the lineups of the events. Notably Tempe, Arizona’s Academy will now appear in the Pasadena event in addition to the subsequent Stanford and Sacramento shows. Having the Pasadena event on a later date also allows the Blue Knights to appear in Southern California.

Tickets for California events not yet on sale are expected to be available in the coming weeks.
