Out of an abundance of caution and in keeping with the suggested guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the Marching Arts Safety and Health Tour Restart Task Force, we regret to announce that the Phantom Regiment will withdraw from competition this evening at the Drums on Parade event in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. The group, however, will appear at the event, instead making a standstill concert performance in lieu of presenting its entire field production.

“As part of our ongoing COVID-19 mitigation protocols, our most recent round of tests indicated a positive infection rate which exceeds our established benchmarks,” said Phantom Regiment CEO Todd Snead. “Therefore, in the interest of the safety and health of our performers, staff and volunteers, our ensemble will make a standstill performance tonight with those of our members who are cleared to participate. We apologize to our loyal supporters who were looking forward to seeing the corps in its entirety.”

Phantom Regiment has enacted its established quarantine plan and will be working with the members of its professional medical team in the coming days to isolate and care for sick individuals in an effort to mitigate the spread to a point where performers can safely return to the field for future performances.

“It is our hope to fulfill our upcoming performance obligations, but we will need to make that decision on a daily basis depending on how many members are unable to perform,” Snead said.
