The Academy
The Arizona corps will host an audition camp December 2-4 in its home state of Arizona.
Blue Devils
The Concord corps shared an in-depth article honoring the life of late accomplished percussion instructor and DCI Hall of Fame member Tom Float. “I learned so much from Tom about drumming,” Blue Devils percussion director Scott Johnson said. “But more importantly… I learned it’s not always about drumming, but the hang, telling stories, the camaraderie, just being good friends.”
Blue Knights
Blue Knights alum and former Santa Clara Vanguard and Boston Crusaders instructor Thomas Kober was announced as the Denver corps’ brass caption head for 2023.

Joe Roach, former Music City executive director, was named Carolina Crown’s third corps directory in its 33-year history. “His knowledge and experience as a proven leader within the drum corps activity will enable our team to continue developing all areas of the Crown drum corps,” CEO Jim Coates said.
Colts
Those interested in auditioning for Colts can start their process today in the corps’ “Red Zone” virtual audition hub.
Crossmen
Crossmen honored the memory of the late Tom Float, sharing the personal thoughts of DCI Hall of Fame member Bob Morrison. “(Float’s) contribution to the marching arts is immense, and his impact has been passed down the percussion tree lineage he started,” Morrison said.

Madison Scouts
Madison Scouts will host a pair of single-day percussion audition camps, October 30 in the Dayton, Ohio and Atlanta areas.
Mandarins
Registration is now open for Mandarins’ four “Mandarins Experience” audition camps. The first camps are set for November 19 in Indiana — for color guard performers only — and November 20 in Texas for all sections.
Music City
Music City introduced Mike Webb, formerly the corps’ operations director, as its new executive director.
Pacific Crest
In an article on “Audition Fears,” Regiment shared positive responses to common concerns from prospective members entering the drum corps audition process.
Phantom Regiment
Phantom Regiment announced a variety of staff additions, including its color guard team, under the leadership of designer and caption supervisor Blake Dutton.

The Santa Clara corps has three-day audition camps planned for all sections in Dallas/Fort Worth, Southern California, and Northern California.
Seattle Cascades
Seattle Cascades announced Ray Severns — a former brass instructor with several drum corps and marching band organizations — as its new corps director.

Audition camps for Southwind’s 2023 season are scheduled to be held in Alabama, November 11-13, December 9-11 and January 13-15.
Spirit of Atlanta
Spirit of Atlanta offered its condolences and honored the memory of the corps’ former percussion arranger and caption head Tom Float.
