Many of DCI’s World and Open Class will be marching in parades all over the country this weekend! Be sure to reference DCI.org’s list of “Drum corps on parade!” to find out if a corps will be in your neighborhood on the Fourth of July.

Blue Devils
You can watch the Blue Devils’ “pre-show line-up” live online on Saturday, July 8 at 8 p.m. PT.

Bluecoats
Will you be in Ohio next week? Check out the Bluecoats-sponsored Innovations in Brass DCI Tour event in Akron on Thursday, July 7.

Boston Crusaders
Those attending today’s CYO National Tribute in Quincy, Mass. should get to Veterans Stadium early for the CYO Nationals FanFest. There you’ll find corps souvenir stands open early for business, Fleetwood Records who will have a listening station and catalog of classic drum corps recordings, and a video booth where you can share your favorite memories of the CYO Nationals.

The Cadets
Cadets members are shedding pounds as they get in better and better shape throughout the summer, and that means it’s time for some mid-season uniform adjustments. Those handy with a needle and thread are needed in the coming weeks to help with those fittings.

Cascades

The Cavaliers
The Cavaliers posted an “On the Road Update” giving fans an up-to-date inside look at what the corps is up to on its summer tour.

Colts
The Colts are one of nine local arts groups to receive grant money from the City of Dubuque Arts and Culture program. Colts received the maximum allocation for an organization of $40,000, which will be used to support its many programs including the Colt Cadets and other ensembles.

Glassmen
Attention all Glassmen alumni, family, friends and fans; the corps’ 50th Anniversary Birthday Bash will be held in conjunction with the All-Star Review DCI Tour event on Friday, July 8. You can reserve your tickets to the event online or by calling the corps’ office.

Jersey Surf
Jersey Surf has two alumni events coming up on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10. Learn more about both of these social gatherings on the corps’ website.

Legends
Support Legends’ “Be Instrumental” campaign to help the corps purchase new brass and percussion equipment. “This campaign will help to benefit all of our performing ensembles year round and help support area music programs as a part of our developing Partners In Education outreach,” said Executive Director Ibe Sodawalla.

Music City
Music City still has several openings in its horn line and color guard sections to fill. If you’d like to be part of a drum corps during the summer of 2011, there’s still time!

Phantom Regiment
There is still time to register to take part in Phantom Regiment’s summer educational camps. Drum major, brass, color guard and percussion camps will be held in several different locations in July and August.

Pioneer

Raiders
Raiders report that they’ve started off the summer of 2011 with the biggest horn line in the corps’ history. The group’s 2011 production titled “Blueccentric” features Brubeck’s “Blue Rondo a la Turk” and Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.”

Teal Sound
Teal Sound is in need of a merchandise driver/sales person from July 18 until Aug. 13.
