Blue Devils

The Blue Devils have released a studio recording of their 2010 production by Grammy Award winning producer Frank Dorittie. It’s now available for download on the BD Mediabox.
Blue Stars

Blue Stars

The Blue Stars’ design and staff leadership team from 2010 will be back in action for the 2011season. “Having a design and leadership team of this distinction at the Blue Stars is a dream come true,” said Executive Director Brad Furlano. “Their creativity, talent and experience can only mean continued great things for our students, fans and the entire organization.”

Boston Crusaders

Boston Crusaders

The Boston Crusaders have loaned more than 100 flagpoles, silks and its entire battery percussion line to the University of Massachusetts for this Saturday’s tribute to professor George N. Parks who suddenly passed away in September. More than 750 UMass marching band alums are expected to take part in the ceremony. “We are honored to take part in some small way in the celebration of such a wonderful human being who touched so many people’s lives. We wanted to do whatever we could to honor Professor Parks’ legacy. We have many former staff and members that were products of the Minuteman Marching Band—some of who will be there this Saturday,” said Crusaders Executive Director Tom Spataro.

Cascades

Cascades

The Cascades will present “an ominous production sure to intrigue and inspire drum corps fans across the country” in 2011. “Pandora, a Dark Gift,” will feature musical selections drawn from a variety of composers including Joseph Vargo, Hans Zimmer and David Gillingham.
Colts

Colts

Chris Tomsa will serve as program coordinator and brass arranger during the Colts’ 2011 season. “Chris brings 40 plus years of experience in the drum corps activity to this position and has a proven track record with some of the top organizations in DCI and with the Colts. 2011 will be his seventh season with Colts,” said Executive Director Greg Orwoll.

Crossmen

The Crossmen have revealed a preliminary list of additions to the corps’ brass staff for the 2011 season. Additional details about the team will be released in the coming weeks.
Glassmen

Glassmen

The Glassmen are now taking orders for its 2010 Summer Tour DVD. The disc contains the corps’ Finals night performance at Lucas Oil Stadium in addition to behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with corps members.
Pioneer

Pioneer

Nick Golding will serve as Pioneer musical arranger for the corps’ 2011 production titled “Celebrate.”
Spirit

Spirit

Chris Hestin has been appointed Spirit’s percussion caption head for 2011. “The professional success of Chris speaks for itself and he will be an exciting addition to the Spirit staff. His reputation in the drum corps activity, indoor percussion, and the judging arena has been of the highest quality for a long time,” said Executive Director Joel Vincent.

Teal Sound’s annual awards banquet will take place in Jacksonville, Fla. on Friday, Dec. 10. All tickets must be purchased before Nov. 21.

Troopers

Troopers has added William Chumley to its staff to serve as program and staff coordinator. “William brings to the Troopers organization a wealth of expertise in the world of drum corps and pageantry arts,” said Director Fred Morris. “He will be a huge asset to our design team and educational staff.”

Velvet Knights’ open house for prospective members will take place on Sunday, Nov. 7 in Glendale, Calif.
