Pioneer
Mandarins
I remember cheering wildly for the Mandarins when they won the Division III World Championship with just 10 horn players. The corps has always made the most of what they had to work with. Sometimes it seemed the members were over-achieving, and I had to keep reminding myself that the corps really was that small. The corps is of a pretty substantial size now and some years they’re in Semifinals and some years they’re not. This is a year when they are rebuilding. I expect to see them in Semifinals again. This is an organization that has always refused to lie down.
