After capturing third place at the 2019 World Championship Finals, Santa Clara Vanguard broke a tie with the Blue Devils to solely hold the record for the most bronze-medal finishes in DCI history.
Vanguard’s 2019 third-place score of 96.600 notches a ninth bronze medal for the California corps. The previous tie with the Blue Devils, who also hold the record for most gold (19) and silver (11), stood more than a decade since the Devils’ last finish below first or second place at the 2006 DCI World Championships.
