The Boston Crusaders started their 2004 DCI season with a one-day color guard audition camp held in Florida on Nov. 29, 2003. Musician auditions will be held in early December. Crusaders' program director Howard Weinstein gauged the success of the corps' first camp: "The camp was amazing. We had more than 75 candidates audition, with a tremendous amount of talent present. The guard staff for the 2004 season is incredible. I know that it was a truly educational weekend, and a great start for the '04 season for the Crusaders. I am looking forward to the Northeastern guard auditions this weekend, and both musician auditions, this weekend in Boston, and next weekend in Clearwater, Florida. 2004 promises to be the best season ever for the Boston Crusaders." Upcoming audition camps will be held the weekend of Dec. 5 to 7, 2003 at Lynn Classical High School in Lynn, Mass. (for percussion and brass); Dec. 6, 2003 at Lynn Classical (one-day only for color guard); and the weekend of Dec. 12-14, 2003 (brass and percussion) at the Long Center in Clearwater, Fla.
