Also this weekend, Carolina Crown will conduct an open house performance on the green in front of the Baxter Village Community Center in Baxter Village, S.c., beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 12. The 135-member unit will perform music from their 2004 production, "Bohemia." The performance is free and open to public. "This Open House performance continues a long tradition of free performances for the residents of Ft. Mill just before the corps leaves on their 12,000 mile annual summer tour," noted executive director Kevin Smith. "It's our way of saying 'thank you' to the community for their support throughout the year, and we are extremely thankful to Baxter Village for hosting the event this year." Although the performance is free, the corps graciously accepts donations of canned drink mix, disposable cups or other paper products that will be used by the group throughout the summer. Baxter Village is located just west of I-77 exit 85 (Hwy 160). Baxter Village will be on your left after exiting, and it is requested that non-residents park in the elementary school parking lot and walk to the Green located just a few blocks away on Founders Street.
