From a Blue Saints press release: Bill Clark will assume the role of Blue Saints brass caption head, and will include arranging duties for the corps in 2006. "With this change in direction for the brass line, we are looking for great things to happen in this area, as camps are already underway for the season," said Blue Saints director Mark Ripley. Clark is a trumpet player, teacher and composer originally from the New York metropolitan area. He has a degree in music education and a master's degree in music composition. He is currently a private teacher, an arranger for various drum corps and bands around North America, and a judge for both the FMBC and the USSBA. As a performer he plays with his own jazz group and performs regularly with various orchestras around New York State. He has also backed up such artists as Wynton Marsalis and Doc Severinsen, and premiered a piece by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Henry Brant on "CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Kuralt."
