Blue Stars
Oct. 29, 2007 The Blue Stars announced the return of Brent Montgomery as percussion caption head and Seth Adams as director of the front ensemble percussion program. Mike Thomas and Stephen Montalvo also will join the Blue Stars’ percussion staff for 2008.
Yamato
Nov. 5, 2007 Yamato will host an open house event on Sunday, Dec. 9 in Riverside, Calif. and Saturday, Dec. 15 in Chino Hills, Calif. Pending the outcome of an official review of organizational operations by the Drum Corps International participation review committee, the corps looks to return to the competitive drum corps field in 2008 after a year of inactivity.
Racine Scouts
Nov. 5, 2007 The Racine Scouts announced the appointment of Eric Sperry as brass caption head for the 2008 season. Sperry will be assisted by Jonathan Belott, and also joins the corps’ creative team of John Donovan (percussion) Kris Neal (color guard) and Rachel Chaffee (visual).
Phantom Regiment
Nov. 9, 2007 Phantom Regiment released the title of the corps’ 2008 program, “Spartacus.”
Madison Scouts
Nov. 9, 2007The Madison Scouts announced the following as brass staff members for the 2008 season: Nick Williams (caption supervisor), Clay Wachholz (caption head), Ed Perry (associate caption head) and Matt Parker (assistant caption head), among others.
Glassmen
Nov. 9, 2007 Don Hill will join the Glassmen design team for 2008 as brass arranger and composer. Hill has been involved in the drum corps activity for many years as a performer, instructor, arranger and judge. He also will serve as a special consultant to the Glassmen brass program.
