Arrangers Marty McCartt (brass) and David Nelson (percussion) are set to lead the Colts’ 2016 music staff. “Marty writes with such a fresh, creative style. His tone and color will bring a unique sound to the Colts,” program coordinator Howard Weinstein said. “Combine that with the musicality of David’s percussion work and the blend should be a joy for the fans as well as the students performing.”
Crossmen
Crossmen announced the members of the corps’ 2016 brass and color guard staff.
Genesis
Arturo Cano will lead Genesis’ brass program during the corps’ 2016 season.
Guardians
Brandon Day and Matt Edwards will head the Guardians’ brass caption in 2016. “I am going to put together an amazing staff that is dedicated to excellence and making a statement in Open Class for years to come,” Day said.

A former director of Santa Clara Vanguard and most recently Spirit of Atlanta in 2015, J.W. Koester will join the Mandarins administrative staff for the summer of 2016.
