Blue Knights

The Blue Knights named Jordan Helwerda as assistant director. “Jordan has been behind the scenes with the Blue Knights for several years,” executive director Mark Arnold said. “His focus has always been centered on creating a positive experience for the members of the drum corps.”

Blue Stars

The Blue Stars appointed Chris De León as visual caption supervisor and Greg Dalton and Roger Marquis as visual co-caption heads for corps’ 2016 season.


Bluecoats’ Reverse Raffle fundraiser will benefit the organization’s drum corps, winter color guard and alumni performance ensemble.

Boston Crusaders

Eddy Falcon will join the Boston Crusaders instructional staff as visual caption manager. “I’ve worked with the Crusaders in the past and it has always held a very important place in my heart,” Falcon said.


Genesis welcomes new additions to its brass and percussion staff.

Heat Wave

Percussion caption head Derek Wilkerson will return to the Heat Wave instructional staff in 2016.

Music City

Mike Chiodo joins the Music City instructional team in 2016 as staff coordinator.

Oregon Crusaders

Oregon Crusaders co-founder Ron Jones will be conducting a “lavish” Star Trek production with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Phantom Regiment

Phantom Regiment announced that former designer and longtime consultant Tony Hall will return to the corps as visual coordinator. Caption head Dwight Emmert will return as visual designer.

Santa Clara Vanguard

Santa Clara Vanguard’s percussion section will be a featured ensemble and clinician as part of the 2015 Percussive Arts Society International Convention, November 14 and 15 in San Antonio.


Spartans welcomes several new individuals to its brass, color guard and percussion staff.


Michael Raiford joins the Troopers design staff as visual coordinator.  "Michael brings the maturity, experience, professionalism and leadership needed to drive the visual component of our program," program coordinator Donnie VanDoren said.
