Celebrate Indy Arts! Parade: Saturday, Aug. 13, 11 a.m.

Hosted as part of the annual Drum Corps International World Championships, the first-ever Celebrate Indy Arts! Parade will bring together more than 30 of the world’s finest marching music ensembles from around the world, along with members of the local Indianapolis arts community in the most musical, creative and fun-filled parade to ever hit the streets of the Circle City! 

Parade route: The parade will start at North and Pennsylvania heading south. A right turn on New York and another on Meridian will bring it all to an end at St. Clair. 

Parade participants and floats scheduled to include: •More then 30 Drum Corps International Drum and Bugle Corps •Dia De Los Muertos Celebration – Indianapolis Art Center •Rhinoceros Puppet – Harrison Center for the Arts •Dachshunds and their Owners in German Costumes – Athenaeum Foundation •Percussive Arts Society Drummers •The Library Book Cart Team – Indianapolis-Marion County Library •A troop of Cowboys – Eiteljorg Museum •Historically Costumed Walkers – Indiana Historical Society •Singers from Freetown Village, Inc. •Kazoo Band •The Music For All Drummers •Indianapolis Opera Float with very special guest: Indianapolis native & renowned soprano soloist Angela Brown
