Blue Devils celebrate their 15th World Championship title.
Drum Corps International's Top 12 corps took to the field, Saturday, Aug. 11, competing for DCI's Founders Trophy and the chance to be called World Champion. The World Championship Finals took place within the indoor confines of Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium, a venue that DCI has called home for the last four years. Highlighting the end of DCI's 40th anniversary summer tour, Blue Devils finished off an undefeated season, capturing the gold medal with the score of 98.70. Just over a point behind, Carolina Crown took the silver along with caption awards for Brass and Visual Performance, with Phantom Regiment earning its first bronze medal since 2005.
