Jonathon Holms will be returning for his third year as drum major for the Blue Devils. Holms will be joined on the podium this year by Jon Benson. This will be Benson's third year in the corps -- he was a soprano player for the last two years. "We are very encouraged about Holms' progress as drum major. He is a great young man and brings many mature attributes to the job. In his third year, he will be very experienced at this position and will have a very good instinct for the job. Jonathon has gained much respect in his position as drum major," said corps director David Gibbs. "Jon Benson has been an excellent member of the Blue Devils for the last two years. This will be his age out year. He is very experienced and understands what is expected as a Blue Devil performer on and off the field," Gibbs said. "The combination of both young men will bring a high level of leadership to the Blue Devils. We are very excited to have both of them as drum majors this season and they will lead a very talented and excellent group of performers that make up the 2003 Blue Devils," Gibbs said.
