Jonno Lee, 17, from Sacramento, Calif., is marching my second year with the Mandarins, where he marches tenors and is splitting center. He sent in this one. "This picture was taken right before we left our housing site for finals night in Denver. I was 16 years old and a sophomore in high school at the time, and it was my first year marching with the Mandarins, as part of their tenor line. From left to right, they are: Milos Pina, who plays top bass, Ryan Parrish, this year's center tenor, me, and my best friend, Fernando Lopez, who is in the guard. "These four guys are my closest friends in the corps, and marching my rookie year with them was a blast. When people say that the friendships you make in drum corps will last you a lifetime, it's totally true. I would stop anything that I'm doing to help these guys out, and I know that they'd do the same for me." Thanks Jonno!
