Genesis
Genesis welcomes Carla Burgess-Tomsa as color guard director for the corps’ 2018 season.
Jersey Surf
A Jersey Surf alum who is a Philadelphia police officer, has been teaching drumming to youth in disadvantaged neighborhoods. He is featured in a recent local news segment.
Mandarins
Mandarins’ entertainment division had some fun at a season-opening game for the NBA’s Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
Pacific Crest
Winter Guard International Hall of Fame member Don Click is the new program coordinator for Pacific Crest. Click is known for his involvement with several marching band programs, as well as being the co-founder of multi-WGI Champion Music City Mystique.
Phantom Regiment
Phantom Regiment announced that the corps’s color guard section will go coed for the first time since 2010. The organization also revealed the staff members who will lead the guard section this coming season.
Raiders
Raiders announced its design staff for 2018, including new percussion hires Anthony Matthews and Glenn Dawson.
Santa Clara Vanguard
Renovations have started on rehearsal space at Santa Clara Vanguard’s corps hall in northern California. The improved facilities will allow Vanguard Music and Performing Arts to triple its capacity for performing arts education.
Seattle Cascades
Former marching members, staff and volunteers are invited to join the Seattle Cascades Alumni Association, formed this year to support the corps now and in the future.
Spirit of Atlanta
Spirit of Atlanta announced its color guard staff for the 2018 season. The group will be led by caption head Chance Livar.
Troopers
Troopers announced the members of the corps’ design team this week, including the addition of Adam Sage as artistic director.
Vanguard Cadets
This week Vanguard Cadets named the new and returning design staff members and caption managers who will lead the Open Class corps through its 2018 season.
