Following the recent announcement regarding necessary field turf repairs at the University of Houston, Drum Corps International has officially solidified a new location for its 2026 DCI Houston event.
Katy Independent School District’s Legacy Stadium will step in to host the July 17 show presented by Fruhauf Uniforms. Part of the annual DCI Texas Series presented by USBands, the move marks a homecoming of sorts for the DCI Summer Tour, which previously held highly successful events at the 12,000-seat high school mega-stadium in 2018 and 2019.
“We are incredibly grateful to our partners at Katy ISD for stepping up so quickly to help us relocate this signature Texas Series event,” said Eric Hjellming, DCI director of events. “With the competitive season just around the corner, having access to a world-class venue where we already have an established operational blueprint is a massive win for our corps, our staff and our fans.”

- Priority pre-sale: Members of the Friends of DCI and spectators who previously purchased tickets for the University of Houston venue will receive exclusive access to a priority pre-sale window beginning Friday, June 19, at 11 a.m. CT/noon, 12 p.m. ET. Details and direct links will be emailed to original buyers.
- Public on-sale: Tickets for the general public will go on sale through the DCI Box Office online beginning Monday, June 22, at 11 a.m. CT/noon, 12 p.m. ET.
