Mankato, Minnesota, welcomed the Drum Corps International Tour on Monday, June 30, as seven corps marched onto Blakeslee Field for the Thunder of Drums. Two local bands, the Mankato Lancers and the St. Peter Saints performed in exhibition to kick things off, while Minnesota’s two all-age corps the Govenaires and Minnesota Brass also had the chance to join DCI’s World and Open Class corps in competition.
